Consigliere and kickbacks
So I've had Betty for a little while. She does a good job of picking up my cash but I thought when they introduced her the popup also said she'd pick up my kickbacks but I don't see that happening. I have to go get them. I haven't tried it yet but if I just left a kickback waiting would it sit there growing stale with no additional kickback added until I retrieved it personally?

You need to save upto 140,000 dollars and then she will collect your kickbacks too! (least i think its 140000..

Check Vito's upgrade tree. She gets upgraded once Vito's gain reaches a certain level. To answer your other question, no you can't wait and pick up 10x the kickback, it doesn't accumulate over time.
