Can't start game after update?

Updated the game today now it has the 2k launcher to start up and game will not launch even tried to run straight from exe no luck, anyone know a workaround for this?

Hey guys submit a ticket to 2k the more the better so they know there is a problem maybe they'll fix it.

It's working for me, hopefully they fix it quickly for those that are having an issue.

I will say I'm pretty annoyed at having another launcher forced on me for a game I already bought, seems like a breach of contract since it fundamentally changes the nature of the product. 2K games might have just made my do not buy list but I'll wait to see how it works out first.

Ok. Now it updated Mafia DE and guess what :D And game don't want to launch. I think that 2k hate me :(

Im not sure why this is happening for players, but my game launched just fine. i couldnt use the controller to navigate the main menu for a few seconds so I used the keyboard and it got me into the game normally, BUT my controller look settings were ♥♥♥♥♥♥! so i had to lower my sensitivity to almost 2. Anybody know why we have this update?

I tried to boot up at lunchtime and it was broken, but I just got an update of like 100MB at like 5:30 and it seemed to fix it?

Almost captured Barclay, was gonna lose it if I had to start over!!

Aside from not being able to launch from the new launcher with my controller it works fine from then on for me.

I still can't launch. The new 2k launcher just dissapear and nothing else happens. And when I try it one more time, the 2k launcher is just white and stuck. Name of the 2k launcher window is named https://localhost:8095/pbp/buy-mafia-iii-definitive-edition. That's funny, because I got Mafia III original deluxe box :D

I had to tweek this game from the start ! , I find the game now , after this laucher update , actually runs the game better !f you don't ave the maximan specs cpu wise , or graphics card recomended or above then you have no hope

My 11 gig graphics card , at still max's it out , The heat this unopyimised creates is HORRIFIC !

i have the same issue. Impossible to launch the game since the last update. I just have sending an email to the technical support. I hope this problem will be resolved soon ...

I looked where the launcher is located. I found file named "debug" and it seems that it doesn't like appdata path. Because my windows use special letters in name of user (Lukáš) and the launcher can't go trough it... And few lines down it says "Unable to move the cache: Access denied. (0x5)" I will try to boot launcher as administrator... It seems like that it have problem with paths (names of folders) in my case.

OK i just checked my game files. Steam found 1 missing. Now the game starts perfectly.
