This sounds to me at this point in time, as if it is a promotion for the existing three games across PC and console with the three existing games also being made available on the Epic store. It looks like an attempt to raise the profile for the three games. Nothing wrong with this as it can lead to more sales and a wider interest in any followup game update/re-working of existing titles or new titles.

Thanks for posting, will be interesting to see what unfolds from next Tuesday.

I've discovered that link and the images.

There were rumours of a Mafia 2 remake published recently, here is the last feature on Mafia 2 remake that I now of;

Also, some different Hanger13 rumours:

Looks interesting, would like a more modern version of Mafia 1 were gameplay wasn't in a single fixed view where you cannot move your head for a different view.

Steamis also listed for PC. Press have also confirmed Stadia, although it isn't shown yet - that may be down to agreements not as yet being complete.

Steam is listed in the announcement trailer of The Outer Worlds, too.
To the topic at hand, Mafia 3 doesn't need a remaster. It needs a complete gameplay overhaul. I wasn't able to continue the game when I realized that I had to take over 9000 outposts to move the story forward. This is basically the only game I regret pre-ordering.

WOW! Remade Mafia 1! Looks aweosme! Such a memorable game, the screenshots show familiar moments. I wonder if they gonna still put that Austrian museum in the middle of the city.

IMO Mafia II was fine, doesn't really need an overhaul, looks great and performance was good. Probably would just bring all those rag-tag DLC under one roof.
Mafia III however, would benefit from graphics update and performance improvements.

Mafia III would benefit the most from an overhauled gameplay. Graphics update and performance improvements don't mean much if you still have to grind the damn outpost.

- Mafia I Remake looks sensational in the images.
- Remastered Mafia II is already good, I wanted an improvement in animations and a significant improvement in Artificial Intelligence
- Mafia III needs to be optimized ... and I want to believe that his engine evolved from 2016 to 2020 to bring this optimization along with a small improvement in the visual, a more alive world, the Police system of speeding tickets / accidents transit, to add clothing stores, hairdressers to customize Lincoln Clay.

I hope they add a Photo Mode for the 3 games, the possibility to customize/disable the HUD and also a New Game Plus (NG +)

You dont have to take all the outpost or do all the missions if you dont want to, only like 3 or three to advence the story...

Numerous important details about Mafia Definitive Edition are leaked. Several days ago, thanks to the Gematsu medium, we learned that the new 2K Games pack that will include Mafia, Mafia II and Mafia III, would be released very soon. Now, a new rumor via Reddit that has picked up quite a bit, has shown a lot of important details about Mafia Definitive Edition.

As indicated in this leak, 2K would make Mafia Definitive Edition in descending order, so that the first game we would see published under this tagline would be the third in the series, and would arrive in late summer. We detail everything below.

Today we remember Mafia II

Mafia Definitive Edition will be exclusively available in the Epic Games Store for 6 months.
The Definitive Edition of the Mafia trilogy will be available only digitally during the first month.
Mafia Definitive Edition will receive a physical version as Mafia 1 becomes available.
The physical version will include the CD for Mafia III: Def. Edition and 2 digital codes for Mafia and Mafia II
The reason that the first installment of Mafia will be the last to launch, is because to do it again, to make it look like Mafia II.
Mafia II will receive new shading and textures, it will be a remastered similar to Saints Row The Third.
Mafia III will be graphically improved.
Mafia III will receive new DLC’s that will be completely free for those who already have said game.
The remastering of the 3 games will be sold separately and will cost € 25. However, the Definitive Edition will cost around € 50.
Those who already have Mafia II and Mafia III (Steam version) in their domains will automatically receive the Definitive Edition for both. If you have all three games, these will be removed from your library and Steam will automatically swap them out for the Mafia Definitive Edition, somewhat similar to what Rockstar did with the GTA Complete Edition.
When we complete the Mafia 3 DLC’s, a new quest will appear on the map called “What Next?…” At the end of that scene, the Mafia IV logo will be revealed. 2K wants to innovate and reveal its next big game in a different way.
This big edition will be revealed soon, supposedly in Sony's next State of Play.
Mafia Definitive Edition will arrive in September at the Epic Games Store and Xbox One digitally and with Mafia 1 in October along with a physical edition.

Interesting information(Rumors), but just reading the word "exclusive" makes me nervous :steamhappy:
