How To Fix Mafia 3 Lag, Input Lag, CPU Usage and some other Minor Problems.

1. Download Reshade and Nyclix's Colour Correction / Blur Removal Preset. Or something Similar that removes blur and fixes graphics. (For some reason the filter that is put over Mafia 3 by default from the developers was causing my CPU to overload at times forcing me to quit the game for a while.)

2. Change the in-game settings to the following:
Run the game at your Native Resolution. (My game is at 1920x1080)

FPS - 30 (This fixed my input lag and some lag spikes especially playing with a controller. I think this is because most consoles run at that.)

Depth Of Field - Off (Makes the game look crisper and reduces some lag.)

Motion Blur - Off (Got annoying to me, makes game crisper and cleaner and reduced minor lag spikes.)

Antialiasing - Low (If everything else above fails to help you try this.)

Other Settings - Tune them to whatever you want as they all may have different effects depending on your system.

I used Reshade and thats pretty much all I needed on my end. But now that I see this I guess ill see adjusting settings might help make it look even better.

As for performance and everything I have had no problem.

This instantly solved it for me. Found it on another page. Hopefully this helps someone:

METHOD 3: DISABLE FULL-SCREEN OPTIMIZATIONS
Open your Steam library and right-click on Mafia: Definitive Edition
Select Properties, and now head to the LOCAL FILES tab
Here, select BROWSE LOCAL FILES. This will take you to where the game is installed
Now, right-click on the “mafiadefinitiveedition.exe” file, and select Properties
Head into the Compatability tab, and check “Disable Fullscreen Optimizations” and click OK

Bro i bought mafia 3 defenitive edition and i plaey like for 1 week and i didnt have problem but after a week im not having fps more than 20 lag at the top delay on top what should i do
