Is this game worth playing?

I have played Mafia III far more than GTA V.

Try the Demo, pick it up on sale at some point if you like it.

I see, is deluxe version worth it?

The Deluxe version only adds perhaps 6-8 hours of additional play through of Mafia 3 in additional content.

The Stones Unturned DLC is worth having as it adds more content with John Donovan.

Faster Baby is good additional story content with new characters and gives you the ability to grow weed for additional profit. Some fun gameplay with a demolition derby attitude.

Sign of the Times is quite a dark storyline that players either like or find deviates away from the Mafia story. it is well done but is mixed in appeal.

Overall - I would suggest that if you consider Mafia 3 to be worth buying, then pick up the Deluxe version in a Steam sale and enjoy the game for the story and music. Some of the kills are brutal, but you can disable this option if preferred. If you are on a tight budget, just go for the main game for now.

The game isn't a fantastic port from console, but I have found much of the content to be better for enjoyment than a lot of games from some of the better known software houses.

I have played through Mafia 3 something like 7 or 8 times now. I have completed collecting every item on the map I think 3 times - never done this on any other game. I didn't buy this game for some time due to all the confusing mixed reviews.

Thanks, I guess I'll give it a try since I'm sucker for that 70's theme. Not sure about deluxe yet.

Guys, does someone knows how much was deluxe edition on last Steam sale? Thanks.
hackintoshchap Oct 24, 2019 @ 5:48pm
It is about 60 / 70 % discount.

Sure is worth a go, the sale price is worth the soundtrack lol.

GTA V > MAFIA III

Even GTA IV > MAFIA III in 2019.

Mafia 3 Su xs, shooting is terrible, story missions are terrible, no online... Buy it only if its on sale. :-/

I would say GTAV is a much, much better game. The performance alone of Mafia 3 makes it a hard buy... I hate playing it at 60 fps. But if you can get it at 60%/70% sale then it's pretty fun.

The bugs and glitches makes this game unenjoyable. This is the only game were it knocks out my audio. An I have to system restore it back or re-install the audio drives.

Sounds like a common Windows 10 issue.

Totally agree.

I just bought it yesterday and I have to say a resounding Yes, I think it was a good buy. Well worth playing. At launch I read and watched bad reviews, but playing it now it's not at all what I saw.

(It's super cheap on GMG right now)
