Bug in prologue - cut scene with FBI and Burke's Iron in a loop

Anyone else have this problem? I googled it, but didn't find anything else about it... possibly because of my search terms and noobiness to this game.

I'm stuck in a cutscene loop in the prologue. After I visit the mafia dude at the country club, and defend the hole in the vault, it cuts to a scene where the retired FBI agest starts on about Burke, then it goes to Buke's Iron and Metal and it keeps doing this. When I try to skip out on the cutscene, it just goes right back to the beginning with the FBI guy again.

"No one really knows why Sal Marcano turned on Thomas Burke..." up to "My father was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥..." over and over again.

I've quit, restarted, etc. and nothing seems to be working.

I was just starting to get into the game. I really don't wanna have to refund it.

Refunded. Didn't like the game enough to keep playing past something like that.

Need remove cache files.

Removing the cache didn't work for me. I think it might have to do with the demo, if you downloaded it before buying the game. I uninstalled the game, deleted both Mafia III and its demo files from the install directory, then reinstalled. I didn't get back to playing the game until today, where I simply loaded up the game and continued from previous save. It went back to the cutscene, and when I skipped, went back to the mission.

Still having this problem. Can't get out of the loop. Nothing in the cache folder. Help!

Your save could have become corrupt.
Backup everything before trying this.

Stuck on loading screen

1. GoTo: C:\Users\x\AppData\Local\2K Games\Mafia III\Data\#\gamesaves\default\aslot
2. Check the dates created of all 3 saves (0, 1 and 2) and delete the newest one
3. Copy + Paste the 2nd newest save game and rename the copy, so that you have save0, save1 and save2 once again
4. Resume playing.
