This and along with mouse steering I cant believe they never shipped these games without a proper mouse steering, even GTA V have a perfect mouse steering, (if you didnt know you can even tailor the mouse steering settings to make them perfectly smooth, incase you wondered) thats for GTA V Its bs that they didnt add this into mafia 3. If i was CEO I would make sure that players could steer the car properly, its so much more enjoyable that way!!
+1
I'll certainly never buy a game from this stupid company again. Effa. How stupid can you be and "develop" BS like this, or, even worse, still release a control crap like this in 2020, after players have complained about it for 5 years, to begin with. Are they lot deaf?! Or just infinitely conceited? Or dumb? I suspect the latter. No, all at once. A bunch of braindead morons who happened to have never played their own effing games.
took me a while to get what was going on.
it's because the game was designed for one of the consoles.
"walk" isn't an input on controllers, it's just the how far you push the analog stick.
so when they ported it to pc, they just stuck it onto an already existing mechanic,
the sprint button, which works exactly how you've been describing "cap-lock" walking,
as a modifier to a directional input.
what should've happened is they should've made run a double-directional input with "sprint" remaining as a directional modifier, like most games would've done.
funny part, i'm positive someone thought they were being clever by reusing existing code.
Why people even post things like this? Game mechanics are not game related its like saying this car is not a Ford or this is not a Volvo!!! ffs it has no bearing!
