Where does DLC take place?
Does the DLC take place as standalone content you can access from the main menu or is it something within the game/story? If it is the second when are you able to access it and when is the best time to do so? Is it best to finish the main game before touching the DLC?

That is a lot of questions. What I can tell you: All the DLCs are in the main game, you can access them all after the first sitdown with all of your underbosses. When to play them is up to you.
