Try using a saw to cut wooden boards with. 1 large wood = 3 wooden boards
I never even thought to try that...
I'll take a look now, while I am at camp.
For all this time, I have been using all of the large wood that I have found, to make arrows with for my bow, since I thought that was the only recipe that used Large Wood.
Thanks :).
Is there an easier way to obtain Sheet Metal?
By "a single wooden board" do you you really mean one board? Rabid coyote mission from Clifton (old man NW from the default spawn point) is short and gives 10 or so boards as well as nails. For 15 minutes you should have enough resources unless you really want to spam traps.
Also these might help:

Nope.
The local (offline, Singleplayer) base file can be edited if you want to spawn in resources after you have a trunk. I do this whenever new bits come out to get the new recipes and try to keep all my WIP guides in order; something I need to work on again as they're all months behind.
I've run that mission a few times. Sometimes, it does not feel like I get many boards at all. If I remember right, that quest seems to be the best source for a number of materials, including Sheet Metal.
The one mission I kept trying to run for Wooden Boards was "Mystery Guest", which didn't give many, if any sometimes.
I assume that you would require a hex editor for that, and, presumably, you would also have to know the exact details of which variables your looking for?
I would prefer to use a method like that, to be honest, rather than trainers etc...
Actually, the base files are in plaintext. Character edits require a hex editor and discovery. Neither of these solutions work in MP servers, just to be clear.
and how exactly do we open the ynm file type to do so? opening it with word shows it all encrypted.
