Be wary if buying this
Malware has become a bigger problem on Steam lately, be careful installing this. Especially since it's being released by an unknown (possibly fake) company.

Agreed. And a game people would install for the memes is a perfect transmission vector. Make sure you scan it on virustotal before launching.

Is it really a problem though? Aren't games verified manually

There have been a surprising number of incidents lately with games sneaking malware in.

Malware does get released on Steam sometimes.

We'll know tomorrow if it has anything I guess, but its probably safe
This is most likely an illegal release of the game.
Both the publisher and developer does not exist anymore.
There does exist an website for the publisher, but this is a new site registered in China. The domain for this site was registered 22 march 2025 and this is supposed to be a company that has existed for over 20 years.

But that would mean they tricked IGN too for posting the trailer. Which isn't out of the realm of possibility but would be funnier.

If it was an illegal Steam port I'm pretty sure Steam would have removed it by now. I don'T know why its so hard to believe that someone could have bought the rights for this. Its Big Rigs, I'm pretty sure its not worth much.
We wait and see if it's legit

its legit.
Wow u guys are just being dumb right now thinking it's full of malware
Well, the bigger issue is selling a game without any changes, like bad, awful and unfinished games should be celebrated like a big deal.
Why no one thought it should be finished, like it was intended? Why would anyone purchase a buggy unfinished product where you can find like anywhere on the internet?
even if it's actually legit, I would refund it because of this post.
They bought the rights from the publisher who needed that money after the Gollum and King Kong games. Yes, it's THAT GameMill.
I'm not saying there's anything weird going on but I couldn't get the game to close which is concerning. Steam showed it running but task manager did not. Had to restart my pc to uninstall the game. It's also weird that the game has an unreal engine power launcher running in the background just unlocking away at achievements. So yeah, that's a refund from me. Just to be safe.
