@Power when setting up with google authenticator youre giving an unique code/barcode in order to obtain access to your account. This can not be re activated after the first making it unique to the device you originally set it up as. It is limited to ranked because ranked is where people are more likely to get buthurt technically a good security measure is to set it up by default.

@Hashbrown perhaps I should've been more precise. The private key/barcode used when setting up google authenticator is unique, and that way there is only one phone per account. Problem is that there can still be multiple accounts per phone. Not sure what butthurt has to do with it haha. Perhaps you're right in the sense that 2FA is generally a good way to increase security and ubi is trying introduce it in gradually and only forcing a smaller amount of players, but would this also mean that the other modes are to follow?

Forcing all of us to download another stupid app I don't even have space for just so I can access a single gamemode is a BRILLIANT idea.
