After purchasing Rainbow Six Siege, I was mistakenly logged into the wrong Ubisoft account. When I launched the game, my Steam account was linked to this Ubisoft account without any warning, prompt, or notification that the Ubisoft account was already linked to another Steam account that also owned Rainbow Six.

Now, my current situation is that I have two Steam accounts, but both can only access the same single Ubisoft account. I have explained this issue to Ubisoft Support multiple times, but they keep sending me the same repetitive response, whether intentionally or not, saying that my Steam account is already linked to a Ubisoft account and that I can play the game from there.

I have directly requested that all linked accounts be unlinked so I can relink my Steam account to a new Ubisoft account. However, they keep providing the same robotic, repetitive response and have not addressed my actual request.

Is the only solution for me to refund the game and create a new account on Steam ?!!:steamfacepalm: :steamsad:

Hey elvin_bisko,

Sorry to hear it that you have issues with linked accounts.

Two Steam accounts cannot be linked to the same Ubisoft account, as the system would not let it. Only one Steam account can be linked to a Ubisoft account at a time.

It's possible you had two different Steam accounts historically linked to the same Ubisoft account, one at a time. In this case, you should be able to re-link them by yourself.

Sadly, only our email support has visibility into your account details, and no one without such access can assist you.

Did you try unlinking accounts via the Ubisoft management website?

It's difficult to advise you, without seeing your account details in a specific tool.

Unfortunately, when I log into my Ubisoft Account Manager, it shows that my Steam Account A is linked. However, when I unlink it, no Steam account appears as linked anymore. Yet, when I log into my Steam Account B, it’s still linked. I can only access Rainbow Six Siege when I’m using Ubisoft Account A. If I try to log in with Ubisoft Account B, it gives an error saying the game is linked to a different account.

The conclusion I’ve reached is that unlinking via the Ubisoft Account Manager seems to be purely cosmetic.
I'm having a very similar issue, were you able to solve your problem?

Hey guys,

If after unlinking the account you are being advised that the game can only be launched n the original account it is possible that it is still linked from our side. To take a look at this I would recommend reaching out to our Ubisoft Support site [support.ubisoft.com] to open a case. An agent will be more than happy to take a look.
