High CPU usage and freezezs
Heya,
for months now i have problems with R6S. I played the game regulary a few years ago and till half a year ago took a break from it. Now after reinstalling it i have problems i never had before. My CPU is constantly between 85 and 100% and my GPU at 4% at most. This results in frame drops and even freezes from time to time. After capping my FPS to 90 it still does all of it even though i managed to play at a constant 144FPS 2 years ago.

Changing everything to low doesnt change anything, giving R6S high GPU priority didnt change anything, reinstalling didnt change anything....

Idk what to do anymore.
I hope someone can help me.
(Also benchmarking doesnt work anymore)

My Hardware:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8600K CPU @ 3.60GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080

Thanks for reaching out.

We are aware of performance issues caused by the Ubisoft overlay so would recommend disabling this[www.ubisoft.com] to see if this improves things at all.

How are you getting on?

I figured out the solution.
As long as i start the game over Ubi Connect everything is way less stressed (70%CPU).
If i start R6S over steam its 100% CPU again.

Thanks for sharing what worked for you FlashPlex, we'll note your findings to the team!

If there's anything more we can help with, please let us know!

Hello Flash, almost all of us its having this problems since last patches. U can try disabling Ubisoft Overlay who consumes all your cpu and when the game starts freezing do this

Everyone has tried that and it fixes an older bug, but not this one.

This bug is SIEGE using 90% of the cpu NOT ubi overlay.

The freezing part almost seems like a memory leak as you can play one round with no problem, but every round after has freezes until you restart the game.

And the cpu usage USED to spike consistently with the freezes. But.. I recently noticed that that might not be the case, as it was using 75% of my cpu, when it froze the cpu usage dropped to around 30%.

I don't really know but to me it seems like multiple bugs doing all this.
