Some games which use D3D will use it for microphone things too - it's nothing to worry about
Let me know if you've any other thoughts or questions!
- Ubisoft Support
Whenever I tab into the game my headphones audio settings change and when I alt tab out they go back to normal and the D3dproxywindow isn't an application I can find on Razer Synapse to set to have my headphones settings I want. ): Idk how to make it work. THX Audio is a pain in the as!!!
extremely late but just type in "microphone access" in windows settings and you can toggle microphone access for desktop apps, ms apps, or anything downloaded from that app itself (right click from start icon). if it's not listed there you can just toggle it from the list of apps shown, and if not there, find the app in control panel (windows key + r and type "control" and hit enter) and change its permissions to not access the microphone. there's a few ways to go about it, but for anyone that gets brought here like i did and doesnt wanna mess with the app but still prevent usage of the microphone for whatever reason (i was using bt as well), try this first.
alternatively: disable microphone access altogether from headset settings rather than per app.
i use text to speech which goes through an internal mic so when it connects to my bt audio it really pisses me off to reset it each time. saw that nfs heat was using d3dproxy when before it was just "nfs heat is using your microphone" and looked into it after this exact thing happened to me.
