Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

no music or Announcer Sound?
Had it before in test server and was fine in live untill the grim update came. Anyone else has this problem too? it seems to be Season/Grim related as live was fine before but test server had this problem and now live has it too?

No announcer/operators voice lines
Basically, title. Other sound stuff (shooting, environment sounds, menu, cinematics) seems to work fine. But there's announcer voice (which says "The bomb has been located" and so on). And no operator voice lines. Even in cinematics for original operators

Probably happened after the latest update, didn't notice for some time

What I've tried:
  • reset game setting to defaults
  • verify game files
  • delete some game files and then verify
  • delete all game files and then verify
  • delete settings files from My Games folder
  • completely reinstall the game

Didn't change neither any audio hardware nor any related configurations

Hello silencex, thanks for letting us know what you have tried so far to try and resolve this sound issue.

In order for us to report this to our Siege QA team, are you abe to record a clip of this happening in-game?

Are you able to link us to a short 1-minute video clip that demonstrates this issue clearly, so we may also view this in motion and pass it on to our QA team to try replicating?

If you have Xbox Game Bar installed on your PC, you can press Windows, Alt and G key to record the last 30 seconds of gameplay. You can then upload your video clip to a website such as Youtube/Imgur/Twitter and post the URL link to the video in the thread, and we should be able to view this happening too.

Hi,

There are some videos uploaded. This one with audio settings and operator's video, this one with training grounds showcase, this one - defense prep phase. Usually operators talk a lot during prep phase

About 4 weeks after Demon Veil release
Didn't play R6 first three weeks, then downloaded a pretty big game update (demon veil update). Didn't notice missing voice lines for about a week because of Discord
So it's at least about two weeks

Hi! Have you resolved this issue? I have the same issue as these guys. I have subtitles, but the operators don't talk in game or in the cinematics.

yeah, got that problem too, so do a bunch of other people who responded to my post, i tried reinstalling, still didn't help

A lot of players are still experiencing the freeze bug and now there is the sound glitch as well. I am not freezing anymore but now I have this sound bug, ubisoft sent a troubleshoot link but I have tried and still didn't fix the issue. Ubisoft should try and actually fix the problem with a hot patch, it couldn't possibly be all of our hardware.
