Sorry to hear it.
Make sure router does not change the IP addresses assigned to both PCs in the network.
If you set a fixed IP address for a both devices, and they stay that way, you should be able to play together.

I registered static addresses on my router, but I don’t think this will help in any way because NAT technology replaces our addresses when accessing the Internet. The error remains the same.
I have seen posts of people playing together on the same home network, so it should be possible. It may be due to specific router behaviour.
