I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Would you mind confirming whether you are still receiving this error code when trying to play the game?

If you do, could you provide us some more information where this occurs mainly occurs for you? Is it happening when you launch the game, while playing the game, or is it more at random occasions?

The more information you are able to provide, the more this would help us to forward it to the team so it can look into.

Hello, I just got this exact error as well, it's not letting me play the game at all.

It says "Failed to connect to Rainbow Six Siege servers due to version mismatch. Check for updates and try again." It always happens when starting the game.

I have R6 installed via Epic Games, and whenever I open Ubisoft Connect, it says there's an update available, but it fails. Sometimes it says Update Failed, sometimes it says Disk Error. I tried Verifying files on Ubi (which says everything's fine), I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Ubisoft Connect. I've tried launching Ubi, and R6 as Administrator, even when reinstalling I did everything with admin rights, nothing works.

Only thing left to try is deleting and reinstalling the whole game, but I want to avoid that if possible.

This happened to me with the lates update. Is there any word on a fix for this? I've been trying a lot of things throughout the day, and nothing is working.

reinstalling the game idk. its the only thing that helps me.

Hi B00STER101,

The error code 2-0x00002006 means that there is a version mismatch and that your version of the game does not match the live server version.

There was an issue deploying the patch yesterday so the maintenance was extended on PC. This was posted on the Rainbow Six Siege X account:
