If you dont know linux desktop has gained quite the popularity with the steamdeck and linux desktops figuring out big problems like package manager issues, desktop environment catching up with features and drivers improving and becoming more stable.


but most importantly anticheats and proton compatibility growing so much
With only like 10 games being left that use anticheats that have either not been setup correctly for proton like rainbow six siege or they use kernel level anticheats.

of course kernel level anticheats will never work under wine as wine is user space. But battleye and eac do support proton and can be enabled easily from the game developers.


R6 dev team you should already know but if you dont, you have a proton issue opened on r6fix, please look at it and solve it, so linux desktop and steamdeck players can enjoy your game like windows users do :)
