Audio issues - No voice lines, sound cut off

Came back to siege after taking a looong break.

I jumped into some training before going online, and realized that the sound for gunshots were constantly cut off or cut short. For example, if I shoot once, the echo from the gunshot gets abruptly cut off, making it sound really unnatural and odd. It's the same for other gun shots and a few other sound cues.

After getting into a quick match, the issue continued along with zero voice lines from characters and announcers. No voice at all. Using abilities doesn't trigger any character voice lines, and other teammates' characters' voice lines are not heard at all. Announcer is completely silent.

I've also noticed in situations that the starting videos' audios also get cut off too. As in, I'll hear "The hostage-" and silence right after.

I've checked my audio settings in case I turned off dialogues or voice lines, but they're all good. I tried using my motherboard's audio instead of my DAC, but no difference either.

I've also tried verifying file integrity, but it didn't fix anything either.

I saw that this was an issue in a past patch, but haven't seen much about it after the recent patch. What's going on here? :(

Welp if anyone ever stumbles upon this through google searches or in any other way, the solution was, as seen in other similar discussions, moving the game folder into C drive. yup. That solved every single audio issue I had up on this thread.

Someone said it's tied into battleye or Uplay, and maybe it's because these programs get installed into the C drive, whereas the game is on another drive....but I'll have to test that out. Maybe I'll update this thread with results later!

Tldr: move game into C drive to fix audio issues

It was always working on D drive, i don't even have space on C drive... no other solution?
I had that problem with skyrim too

Same problem here, but only if I change to English. If I leave the game in German - or switch back - everything works again.

So it seems to be an easy fix (on language choice level) on Ubisoft's side, but being an ex-fanboy of Ubisoft, I know that it goes over their heads, sadly.
