Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to switch to Vulkan.
Can you please provide us with more details i.e. what happens when you right-click on the Play button on Ubisoft Connect? Does the option for Vulkan not appear?
Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

I'm trying to switch FROM Vulkan back to DX.
and there's no options when u right click on play button on ubi connect it just start the game.
I'm facing fps drops on Vulkan (I have 1060 6gb with i5 8600 and the game is on SSD) which make the game unplayable.
thanks again
Can you have a look in the games installation folder. I think there should be 2 .exe files in there, one for launching in each mode called "RainbowSix.exe" and "RainbowSix_Vulkan.exe". If so, try the first one.

this works, but ain't no other way to run it from the launcher directly ?
You should be able to launch both DirectX and Vulkan versions of the game from Steam, by pressing the Play button.
An extra option will pop up before you launch the game, and you will need to select 'Launch Vulkan'. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is now running on Vulkan.

If you do not see this option after pressing Play, you may need to relocate your game files in Steam launcher settings, as Steam may not recognize where you have both versions of the game installed on your system

Hey there,
Can you try launching the game after a clean boot[www.ubisoft.com] and let us know if it makes any difference at all?
Thanks,
- Ubisoft Support
You can go in to the PROPERTIES of the game, look under LAUNCH OPTIONS and you will see a dropdown menu. You can select which version of the .EXE the PLAY button launches.
