Will you refund money for all games that were purchased with the support of Win7?
Connect clearly can work fine for windows 7.
MS removing support for something doesn't mean that companies should go round actively breaking things that have worked before.
People are rightly angry here as they own software which works fine on an older OS.
Breaking the LAUNCHER isn't acceptable. Keep a legacy windows 7 supported version of Connect and make any new titles require the new one.
This is not difficult stuff and the advice being given out should be to use an older version of the launcher with old games.
This issue does impact Ubisoft Connect however our titles are still supported on Windows 7 - only the client is not.
As noted in my previous response, we advise using the workaround noted to use an older version of the Ubisoft Connect client as this will allow you to use it with Windows 7 without issue.
Only newer versions of the client are unsupported on the Win 7 OS.
We appreciate this isn't the answer you'd hoped for but as per our statement, as Windows 7 is not officially supported in any capacity by Microsoft as of 2020 - no future Ubisoft Connect client versions will be compatible.
There are no plans to reinstate Ubisoft Connect future support for Windows 7.

Please describe in more detail what exactly you did. Step by step. Thank you in advance.
How to disable auto-updates for the ubisoft connect?!!
!) Go to the location of this folder ...Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
2) Copy the whole folder, paste it in the same place - by default it just adds '- copy'
3) In this folder, most files will be duplicated, half with .old - you will need to ensure you see file extensions for this to be the case
4) Someone mentioned you can do JUST upc.exe to fix this so find the upc.exe file
5) Rename it. I renamed mine upc.exex
6) Find the upc.exe.old fle and remove .old from it to reinstate the upc.exe - you will know you did it right as it'll get the icon back
7) Run the reinstated exe.
At this point the game itself will run. In my case, I fixed division 2. Much as you will likely now be able to run R6 and join online matches etc, this is not a fix for the other chat / group joining issues.
Thanks for this Parberoo - I've pinned this for better visibility.
Paul Nevada - there is no option in the client to disable updates, I'll pass this feedback on, however as an older version of the client is required to run on Windows 7 without issue - and no future updates will support Windows 7 - this will likely be an unviable solution as it's unlikely to be implemented to an old version of the client.
Should we hear anything more of course though, we'll let you know.

I mean... what a hell is wrong here? Just because MS finished to support Win7... UBI decided this crap of company to just send all win7 users helsewere?!:O
Is it a possible fix, just to start the client? Have seen some posts here related to it... but honnestly did not understand it very well. How do i install this now with an older version? (I had backup of the previous forlder... before try to install a fresh start). Should delete some files... and try to login after?
What can i do? Please help... i shall not update to win10 just because of this!... it makes no sense.
Apolozise for my mistakes if find any.
Greatings from Portugal.
But I guess they just don't value their customers at all. We can remember recent thing with shutting down some servers and robbing users of some bought DLCs. And now this...
