and thanks for responding (i really appreciate it)
i installed the game in the beginning of operation crimson heist and i had this problem since then.
and about the black screen, NO, when i tab out of the game and when i try to come back to it, it's only a black screen. i waited around 10 minutes and nothing happened.
one thing strange about this black screen is that my mouse cursor in this screen is in a high resolution (1920 * 1080), but in the game itself my res is low (1280 * 720)
i asked a few people about it about a month ago and they said the same, but it didn't work. same result even after verifying my game files
today i updated both my AMD and Intel graphic drivers, but it didn't help much
Thank you for getting back to us about this and letting us know what you have tried so far.
Are you running the game in full screen or borderless?
Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the game?
- Ubisoft Support
Hi there dear Viral
and thanks <3
I always use full screen mode, right now i tried borderless mode. but my game crashed, unfortunately i was unable to switch to the borderless.
But something interesting happened in my recent testings.
I launched my game game with "Vulcan" API, and i was able to alt+tab. but the problem was that my fps was so low using "Vulcan", literally unplayable
it's a little bit hard for me due to its large size(57 GB)
but if it is a problem that is going to get solved by reinstalling, there might be a way like clearing cash or something like that, that do the reinstall job.
but i will do the reinstalling and inform you guys with the result
thanks for the support
Thank you for getting back to us. Have you tried verifying your game files yet?
Restart your computer and launch Steam.
From a game's library page, select Manage > Properties.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
Let us know if this works please.
- Ubisoft Support
I have already stated that verifying game files did not work for me
and I'm only here to say that reinstalling the game didn't work as well
I'm still unable to alt+tab in Rainbow Six Siege
Thank you for your update,
For troubleshooting purposes can I check whether you also crash when you press ALT + Enter? This will quickly switch between fullscreen and windowed.
Many thanks,
- Ubisoft Support
when I tab out of the game and try to go back to it, it's only a black screen
I tried ALT + Enter but nothing happened
when I'm on that specific black screen I hear no sound and no button shortcut works like ALT + F4, I have to close it manually from Task Manager
As you have had this issue since the end of April, I believe we will be able to more efficiently troubleshoot this with you over a support case. You can make a new one here by signing in with your Ubisoft email and password -
https://support.ubisoft.com/en-gb/Cases/New
This will take you to a new case creation page with a text box where you can specify which game and platform you are playing, what the issue is you are experiencing and any troubleshooting steps you may have taken so far.
Next, please upload your system files to the case and select 'Submit My Case' and we can take it from there.
You can find instructions on how to create the system files we need, below -
DXDIAG - https://ubi.li/msrxL
MSINFO - https://ubi.li/lmiCE
Once you have submitted these files, please let us know the number of your case so we can check this for updates and pass on any information to our QA that they may need to look at. Thank you.
In the meantime I would suggest trying the following PC advanced troubleshooting steps, whilst we await your system files for a deeper investigation. We may need to report this to our QA team, but first we have to rule out if there are any programs or system anomalies causing this - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Article/000061047
Thank you friend.

UBISoft - I've also started a ticket, sent my system files, tried everything you suggested but no dice - it worked fine until about 48hrs ago - all drivers updated, windows updated etc. Can't use windowed play mode - it looks awful and drops fps - currently playing on 144hz. There has to be a solution Help
hey Lebleu
unfortunately, I didn't find any solution for this bug
everytime that I want to play I double check everything before launching it, like Spotify teamspeak and etc
it seems like that ubisoft support is just a bunch social media manager who just replay to problems just by a pre made script
anyway ring me up if you find the solution
Could you please both share your Case IDs so we can take a closer look?
We don't use any scripts here, but please understand we do have troubleshooting steps to try and ensure there are no potential local causes for us to be able to effectively investigate further.
Thank you.
- Ubisoft Support
But if by any chance you found the solution
Don't forget to share it with us
