Can I uninstall uplay version and just use steam?

I downloaded r6s on Uplay during free trial and after that i bought it on Steam. I didnt wanted to download it again so i just moved the files from Uplay to Steam. And i found out that r6s takes about 50gb from both Steam and Ubisoft folder. Can i uninstall r6s from Ubisoft folder and still play it on Steam?

When launching a Ubisoft title through steam, both versions of the files (found in the Steam and Ubisoft folder respectively) need to be present.

If you wanted to launch R6S through Ubisoft Connect, only the files in the Ubisoft connect folder need to be present.
