Keyboard and mouse not working
I have played siege 300+ hours on an xbox and i just got it on pc two days ago and yesterday night it started to think i was playing with a controller when i go into a game but mouse and keyboard work fine in the main menu. does anyone know how to fix this?

Its says im playing on an Xbox controller even though i want to play R6 on keyboard and mouse.
I'm trying to play R6 on my PC but i cant do anything since it thinks im playing on an Xbox controller. I don't even own an Xbox controller.

xbox input problem
Ive recently bought a pc to play siege on and it was working fine, until i had to move files including siege. After i moved siege i cant seem use any of my keys only my mouse, it says i have to press xbox buttons to play the game.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for posting. We are aware about the keyboard and mouse showing as a controller and we are working on a permanent fix as this is under investigation.

In the meantime, could you check out our pinned thread on this and scroll down to the second post for two workarounds I would like you to try -

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you!

We are aware of an issue that causes the controller layout to be incorrectly displayed and are working on a fix

In the meantime, could you please give the [urlhttps://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Article/000061964/Failed-to-load-player-profile-error-in-Rainbow-Six-Siege]steps in this guide a try to reset your local save[/url], as this has been known to resolve this for many players

Resetting your local save will reset your Operator loadout and Situation progress, but your rank, progress and additional items won't be impacted at all

Please give this a try and let us know how you get on!

i did the 2nd option since i don't own a controller anymore and it still doesn't work. There is also another bug that says user profile loading error every time i load onto the game.

Those two issues are likely related to each other as they can both be caused by a faulty user profile. Can you please try resetting your user profile[www.ubisoft.com] one more try. If this doesn't work once again please open a support case with us so we can investigate further.

You can reach us either through the support website[support.ubi.com] by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook[en-gb.facebook.com] and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you.

After you've opened the case if I can also ask you to attach two system reports to the case that will assist us in identifying any potential cause. The reports we need from you are:

DxDiag[support.ubisoft.com]
