Friend Constantly Disconnecting
So I bought this game to play with a friend, no matter whether I'm hosting or he's hosting the squad he'll randomly disconnect in the middle of a match, supposedly completely loses his internet connection for 30s to a minute. This is the only game that does this and supposedly doesn't happen to him unless we're in a squad. Is there some issue with ports on one or both of our ends? What the hell could be causing this? It's demotivating us from even playing at all, since you don't get anything out of an abandoned match.

Posting here on his behalf since he has the game through Uplay, he can't find any recent info on this issue on their sites and we're out of ideas. I've disconnected as well though rarely and no internet loss.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear that you and your friend are constantly experiencing disconnections.

It is strange that this is happening only when you play together and not individually. As a result I would advise to both complete our connectivity troubleshooting guide [ubi.li] which will help configure your networks for the game.

Any trouble after following these steps please let us know as we are happy to help further

Many thanks

Same problem here with disconnect from the same local network! (worked fine until this season). Network didnt change, was setup already for years following your guide. reset didnt help. so it must be a check change from your side after one of the last patches?

Hey, I'm sorry to hear you're also facing difficulties playing.

There are no known network changes on our side that could have caused this. Playing on the same network can sometimes lead to complications, as you have 2 devices trying to communicate through the same network ports.

You could try forwarding the game's required ports to 1 PC which will act as the host. Whenever you play together, have that 1 PC always invite the other and that should work.

Once again I appreciate this was never an issue before. There's no way of knowing for sure what caused this for you, however we will do our best to offer suggestions.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
