Aruni makes this game impossible for the visually impaired
Being someone with near monochromia, I've always had color identity problems in R6, but since Aruni this game has been nearly impossible. I cannot see anybody standing behind those laser grids.

R6 was never friendly for color blind people.

I did not say it ever was
at least the ability to change your optic color is a step in the right direction and a great help :D
It's extremely shameful that Ubisoft doesn't care about issues like these. They've been neglecting the playerbase for years by tweaking everything to suit only the elite ultra-competitive players. Another example is that the game rewards people who can spam click their left mouse button by allowing them to use guns that do a disproportionately high amount of damage just because they are semi-auto only. As I stated the battle rifles that are semi-auto do high amounts of damage and the same caliber battle rifles which happen to have an auto firing mode do low amounts of damage for some reason.

It's super ironic that the game features characters with disabilities (ie. Aruni) but at the same time they close the door for gamers with disabilities.

Hate to say it, but it's what Hellfox said, the game's already incredibly hard for someone who has vision issues, and it's probably not your type of game if you have any, given the maps' colouring

I mean, not to say you haven't had success with the game in the past, which I'm very sure you have based on what you've said, but undoubtedly it's going to set one's skill cap significantly lower than what it could be
On account of Aruni though, her laser gates absolutely don't need red specs in-between the thick lines, that's not just hard for you, but me aswell. I'd like to see them removed, regardless of anyone's visions issues, because if I'm running 2 of them, on let's say Kanal's white connectors, it's going to be impossible for me to see anyone holding an angle without it taking years for my eyes to process where they are, and since they're closer, they can practically hug the thing and not disable it, giving them a near perfect angle, while at a distance, due to my lower graphics for competitive reasons, will
have me severely struggle to make out their head in time

For the record I was high platinum before my monochromia began to set in. Ever since Aruni was added, my skill has dropped significantly as more and more operators (and uniforms that are undeniably overpowered) come in which cause more problems for me. Whilst I know my vision won't get any better nor will my skill now due to my impediment, it's becoming increasingly upsetting to have to deal with Aruni, or things like the deployable shields. I can't see through them at all.

I'd have to agree, there's too many things in the game that make visual aspects of it much harder than they need to be, especially Echo and Ela, and I can for certain say that the graphics downgrades with every other major update have made it even harder. Wouldn't mind a visual-based update to the game to make things more QoL for people who have small screen ratios, poor graphics and vision problems, even something as small as CS' "player sharpening" would do a world of good
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... thats awful... Fingers crossed Ubi can get their ♥♥♥♥ together and add some sort of solutions to this...
if you have nvidia
press alt+F3
go to game filters
select colorblind mode
and tweak ur stuff there.

I used to do this, however for some reason it now totally screws with my framerate or causes issues for streaming software.

i usually get 144 fps without it and 120 with it
with cap on 144
so,idk
but i think its better to see stuff rather than die to nothing
i use it for color vibrance and in general colorful stuff

Agreed with this @OP hopefully Ubi adds a solution to this, many old by today standards AAA titles did have this feature.
