Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Siege keeps minimizing itself
Everytime i am playing siege keeps minimizing itself down. I cant play like this. I play a casual match and then go into ranked and it just minimizes. If i click on the game it will open up for 1 second and then go back down. When i try restarting the game it doesnt help. The only solution is for me to restart my PC. I was forced to leave 2 ranked matches because of this. This didnt happen before the crimson heist.

Did you try running game with admin privilegies?

What about border fullscreen
Moving to player support.
There is a lot of things that can cause this. Some intrusive notifications can cause games minimizing. Bad display cable may cause it (if you have >60 Hz display and use HDMI cable you need to make sure it's good enough to sustain refresh rate, or switch to displayport). Make sure there are no weird resolutions/refresh rate modes in display driver that are not supported by your display. RTX voice is also known to cause this randomly.
Switching to borderless window may be a workaround, but not a solution.
Then you have something running in background what causes it. It is either virus or a program for, for example, changing wallpapers.

For virus scan your pc with malwarebytes antimalware free edition.
my monitor was at a different Hz than the game, I set the correct value and it opened normally

same, cant even get to the main menue without the game auto minimizing, help plz
The fix for me was to modify the GameSettings.ini to put the game into borderless instead of fullscreen. You can accomplish this by setting WindowMode to 2 (corresponding snippet below)

WindowMode=2

[DISPLAY_SETTINGS] ;ResolutionXXX => 0 for autodetection ;RefreshRate => 0 will let DirectX pick it ;WindowMode => 0 fullscreen / 1 windowed / 2 borderless ;AspectRatio => 0 display / 1 resolution / 2..N as options ;VSync => 0 disabled / 1 frame / 2 frames ;UseLetterbox => 0 disabled / 1 enabled ;DefaultFOV => Default vertical field of view (degrees) ;UseAmdAGS => Enables usage of AMD AGS library for additional info in crash reports ;VulkanWhitelistedLayers => Semicolon separated list, with all the Vulkan layers you want to enable, like VK_LAYER_VALVE_steam_fossilize;VK_LAYER_RTSS Monitor=0 ResolutionWidth=1920 ResolutionHeight=1080 RefreshRate=144.000000 WindowMode=2 AspectRatio=0 VSync=0 MaxGPUBufferedFrame=1 UseLetterbox=0 DefaultFOV=60.000000 EnableAMDMultiDraw=1 EnableIntelMultiDraw=1 UseAmdAGS=1 VulkanWhitelistedLayers=
