The game right now is literally unplayable due to fps dropping below 20 in matches. I have tried everything (reinstalling the game, changing settings to low, chaging hardware settings, etc...) with no avail.
If anyone on Ubisoft is reading this right now, is there any fix avaliable (or at least some promise that somebody, somewhere is looking into this)?
Should anyone continue to have trouble after following these steps just let us know as we are happy to investigate further

Credit where it's due, this did help improve the fps to the 20 - 30 range (which, as low as it sounds, is a lot more playable). Thank you!
But, at the same time, it's not in the same range as it was before this last update (30 - 45 fps), even when the display/graphic settings are all on low and with all filters disabled. I can't really figure out why this is happening, as tweaking the settings in-game and in the NVIDIA control panel don't really seem to be yielding much difference.
Edit: Should the GPU usage really spike to 100% when the game runs (even with all graphic settings on low and the in-game menus showing the gpu dedicated memory usage being less than half of the total gpu dedicated memory available)?
in game lower all settings to minimum, enable taa x2 scaling (which is upscaling, renders image at lower resolution and scales up to your resolution) and lower it to lowest available value.
Next go to nvidia control panel, to game's profile and for game disable/lower all available effects but bear in mind some of these changes may have negative impact on visuals and visibility.
Yes, on your gpu game will always have 100% gpu usage as gpu is weak, game is too demanding for it.
P.S.
nVidia today released new driver so you may check it out as well.
Hey there,
As SpectatorX advised there is a new update the Nvidia have released which may well help with the trouble you are having.
Just let us know if this persists

The issue still persists with the latest driver update bringing the fps rate back to the 15 - 20 range. Please look into it as having the issue with 3 different GPU drivers makes it less likely that it's a driver problem and more likely that it is a problem with the game itself.
Hi there.
I'm sorry to hear that. Can you try launching the game after a clean boot[support.ubisoft.com] please if you haven't already done so?
- Ubisoft Support
Hi. Thank you for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, when I tried a clean boot (with all non-windows startup items and services disabled except for the steam and the battleye services so that the game could be launched), the fps count still stayed in the 15-20 range for about 80% of the time in-match, specially mid-match and in gunfights. The other amount of time was something along the lines of 15%: 20-25 fps (specially in the early match); 4%: 25-30 fps; 1%: 10-15 fps. :(
While I understand that my hardware is not optimal, I could usually get something along the lines of 30-45 fps throughout a match before the last mid-season update. And, just to reiterate, I did search online and try some of the various fixes given for this issue (clean install, disable full-window optimisation on windows settings, disable windows game bar, turn v-sync on and off, alter display settings to lower the resolution and aspect rate, tweak operating system and graphics card settings to prioritise performance over battery life or graphical quality, etc...).
Anyway, thank you for trying to help.
Not a problem. As mentioned by Spectactor as well in this thread your GPU is actually a bit below the minimum requirements for the game[support.ubisoft.com] so unfortunately as a result of that performance of any kind is not guaranteed I'm afraid.

bam
That is... certainly unusual. I'm happy to see that is working for you as a workaround; perhaps it will also help other players.
All the best!

Most of the other steps are unnecessary.
Without chrome = 130 FPS - 190 FPS
With chrome = 200 FPS - 350 FPS
I'm intrigued to find out if this fixes anyone elses problem.
Hey Wasted,
Thanks again for keeping us all in the loop with your findings!
Hopefully someone else will find this useful

Issue started for me over a month ago, but i did not play anymore for a while because... well, it's all on the forums.
Anyway, tried today and i get drops to 15-28 FPS suddenly in game in TH.
Haven't change anything since i've installed it and before i used to have over 114 FPS, but now it's quite hard to play.
Not the most powerful config but it holds it's own:
Strix with an i5 7400 (Nzxt X42 140MM on it), highest temp was 46 degrees
1070 Gigabyte gaming 8GB (Nzxt Z63 280mm on it), never seen it over 32 degrees temp
32Gb DDR4 vengeace 3600Mhz
2 nvme raid 0 for system and game is installed on a SSD
So? Any ideas? I don't want any chrome windows open or alt tab from time to time, because that is crap... why was this working until now and suddenly it has tons of issues?
