Character keeps moving after releasing keyboard keys. SOLVED!!!!!!!!
So I just got the game on PC, played on console for years. I know how leaning works, peaking, yada yada. My issue is my character keeps walking even after I release the keyboard key, or when I am ADSing and side step, he takes one giant step instead of a small shuffle. What is this issue? My hardware plays everything on ultra no issues currently, 144FPS and jazz.

Is it a simple option I have to check? Or something actually broken?

Hey guys I just wanted to share what I did to fix this. I went into MSCONFIG and disabled ALL non Microsoft applications. The SINGLE application that replicated the entire problem was the Alienware Client Management Service.

After disabled this program the issue went away, reenabling brought the issue back again.

Sounds like a keyboard issue, I suggest seeing if there are problems with that then checking Siege's side of things.

It's a brand new Alienware M15. I don't think I have any keyboard issues, everything else works fine.

Then I would check your Siege settings, everything.

Use diffrent Keyboard for testing

I just tried using my older but still very operational Devastator II keyboard and I experience the same issue. I'm pushing into a build pressing forward and I go to strafe left or right and he just keeps moving forward for a second.

I am strafing right and then attempt to press forward or aim and he continues to strafe right for a second... wtf.

Can you experiment with raw input etc?

Used to happen to me sometimes when I had a slower cpu.

Maybe try setting a lower fps limit and see if it helps you- your cpu could possibly be getting kinda choked out like my old one was.

Normally I'd might of agreed, but this is a brand new 9750 in a brand new Alienware M15. It would be 100% impossible that would be the issue.

How old it is doesn't have a bearing on whether or not the cpu isn't coping.
I'm not sure your issue is the same as mine but I do think it's worth a try and it's a very quick thing to just check.

I turned everything on the lowest possible settings, this input lag or whatever still happens. It is absolutely a game issue or something conflicting with another.

I get no issues on ultra settings on other games such as Metro Exodus, absolutely flawless 118FPS on ultra.

This has to be an option I'm just not understanding or something like that, but even on lowest of low settings it still happens.

Aiming down the sights, side stepping and he just won't stop moving for a second.

I even turned V-Sync off just now and it still does it.

Sorry to say, I refunded the game. I don't have time to deal with a game that doesn't work out the box so to say.

This actually does the same thing on Overwatch as-well, now I am really confused. Any other ideas?

I see it happen sometimes on games when too many keyboard inputs on pressed at the same time (ie shift + w + a)
