I just tried using my older but still very operational Devastator II keyboard and I experience the same issue. I'm pushing into a build pressing forward and I go to strafe left or right and he just keeps moving forward for a second.
I am strafing right and then attempt to press forward or aim and he continues to strafe right for a second... wtf.
Maybe try setting a lower fps limit and see if it helps you- your cpu could possibly be getting kinda choked out like my old one was.
Normally I'd might of agreed, but this is a brand new 9750 in a brand new Alienware M15. It would be 100% impossible that would be the issue.
I'm not sure your issue is the same as mine but I do think it's worth a try and it's a very quick thing to just check.
I turned everything on the lowest possible settings, this input lag or whatever still happens. It is absolutely a game issue or something conflicting with another.
I get no issues on ultra settings on other games such as Metro Exodus, absolutely flawless 118FPS on ultra.
This has to be an option I'm just not understanding or something like that, but even on lowest of low settings it still happens.
Aiming down the sights, side stepping and he just won't stop moving for a second.
