siege desktop icon
one of my browsers i set to default took under its association the rainbow six siege .url desktop icon , i changed back to Uplay.exe but this now only opens uplay and doesnt load the game, i try to edit the registry entry for .url at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts and deleted the Progid value ( Applications\Uplay.exe ) i try an empty quote "" or i try deleting the Applications\Uplay.exe value data but i get an error pop up ( Error Editing Value , Cannot edit Progid: Error writing the value new contents.


is there another application or value data that effectivelly will open uplay and run the game ?

Is it just the Desktop Shortcut? If so then you should be able to just head to the original file and create a new Shortcut.

yes , it resolved the problem.

i was looking for a way to restore the ability to open the desktop icon and load the game from the desktop icon uplay makes for the game rather than shortcut of the executable of the game from its folder but i dont mind anymore

btw when is para bellum update coming ? i am not sure u have any official info , if not is ok i am not asking for a leak

Glad to hear that worked.

There's no official date announced for this yet. The full reveal will take place during the Pro League Finals starting May 19th. You can watch this on our Twitch channel twitch.tv/rainbow6

For the moment we did reveal some information about the new Map coming during Para Bellum, Villa. You can see the reveal here[rainbow6.ubisoft.com]
