Ubisoft asking for CD key
Hey so pretty self explanatory- bought the game on Steam, then out of nowhere Ubisoft's Uplay is asking for a CD key, which I never got. Nothing in my email except proof of purchase, no codes nothing. I already followed Ubisoft's advice and uninstalled then reinstalled Uplay to no avail.

I'm hoping to God that I'm missing something super easy and I'm just an idiot. I cannot find my Activation code anywhere.

Thank you for contacting us.

There's no CD keys for the game anymore, as it works through a system called direct entitlement. This error though does still mean there's an issue authorising the product.

Are you sure that you are logged into the correct Uplay account? This being the one that you originally installed the game on? What's the Username on you Uplay account?

We'd advise logging out and back into Uplay, just to be sure.

I ended up restarting both steam and up lay and it finally worked. Thanks for responding though.

same problem ubisoft app asking for cd key i just played it a few moment ago and then ask me for key
same thing has happened to me but ive tried every method, unlinked and linked my account again, restarted both apps, restarted my pc, signed in and out and still nothing

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. To resolve it, please try clearing the cache [ubi.li]and ensure that Ubisoft Connect is not running (you can check this in Task Manager). Then, please run Ubisoft Connect as administator[ubi.li]and launch the game from Steam.
