There's no CD keys for the game anymore, as it works through a system called direct entitlement. This error though does still mean there's an issue authorising the product.
Are you sure that you are logged into the correct Uplay account? This being the one that you originally installed the game on? What's the Username on you Uplay account?
We'd advise logging out and back into Uplay, just to be sure.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. To resolve it, please try clearing the cache [ubi.li]and ensure that Ubisoft Connect is not running (you can check this in Task Manager). Then, please run Ubisoft Connect as administator[ubi.li]and launch the game from Steam.
