When I tried to open the game from steam's folder it gave an error like "missing vcredist140.dll". You can install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable from Microsoft's site OR if it's already installed you can fix it from program add/remove. This fixed it for me, I hope it helps.
Right click on game in steam> properties> local files> verify game cache. It will check the game's files and verify if they are right, else it will re-download required files.
Please help i really like this game btw i have just bought it, played it once, turned it off and couldnt turn it back on if that is important
I couldnt let go because I wanted Siege to work on my fast SSD drive.
Luckily I got an error message which said my "xxx-xxx-xxx-dll- is missing. Google said it was part of "Microsoft Visual C++ 201X redistributable (x86/x64)" !!! BINGO!
Solution = go to your "Control Panel" --> "Programs and Features" --> click "Microsoft Visual C++ 201X redistributable (x86/x64)" or what ever is newest and "Repair" (Change-->Repair). You probably have several of them installed so try and do that Repair for all of them if needed and re-boot computer when asked.
Now try to launch Siege if you have it already installed. (Launching takes a little while so just wait.)

EDIT: My problem was that Siege and uplay (including battle eye) were succesfully installed but game didn't launch. No error messages, nothing. For a few seconds processor load went up to 15-20% but nothing happened. Uplay-steam link worked like it should but game did not launch. I tried every other "fix" available (verify files, administrator privliges, compability mode, cloud save syncro, etc etc...) but this one works as well as re-installing whole windows because it "resets" those *.dll files on your system.
I found out that Ccleaner / Advanced systemcare registry & file sweepers (or similar) apparently removed more crap from my system than I ever wanted.
What can you say, its Windows!
hey man it didnt work for me any ideas? it says running then says synching then stops
OH MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOD YOU JESUS MAN
