Crackling/static audio
after about 2 minutes of being in a game of rainbow six, the audio starts to sound like static from a TV. this is normally accompanied by small frame drops. this only happens in siege, as this bug does not appear in games like Overwatch or Fortnite. I've tried reinstalling and turning down the in game settings, none of which fixed the problem. all drivers are up to date.

Specs: I7 GTX 1050Ti 16 GB RAM

this is all on a dell inspiron 15 7000 gaming laptop, dont know if this would mean anything but there you go. any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm sorry to hear that, OrionW

Are you also using a laptop? Try changing the priority of the program in your Task Manager, this has been something that's caused lag issues before.

Check after you launch the game, but before you actually do anything (like when the copyright screen pops up) that the game isn't shutting off your GPU fan control software.

gtx 1080ti here. This is the ONLY GAME that shuts down my AORUS (gigabyte) fan control software. Found out the hard way (thankfully only once and it was only for a few minutes) that this game does this. Once I load the game, once it reaches the copyright screen I drop to the dashboard and load it up again. Once it kicks back in it works as expected.
Not sure if your laptop has anything like that in place or not. If not than....ignore what I typed lol.

Just one of the odd quirks this game has that it never had before.

Got the exact same laptop and problem, when I uninstalled geforce experience it worked for a while, but then started doing the same thing again. I installed geforce experience again, which made it work for a few days.

Can I ask how to check the fan control is still working?
