Try clean install of this new driver or revert back to previous version as apparently nvidia broke something.

A bit excessive but worth a try. Install latest vulkan sdk:
https://vulkan.lunarg.com/sdk/home#windows

If this will not help then just switch to dx11 version of game.

after installing vulkan will i need to do anything else or just open seige in vulkan mode?

Just launch the game, maybe pc restart would be nice too but just running the game should be fine.

Go to event viewer and see if it says any error log about siege.

i dont think there is anything about siege, this is so odd.

Vulkan stopped working for me with this driver too. The game stays on the background, no error message, it stays forever until I kill the process.

i found that going into the device manager and disabling my cpu graphics worked. disable that and then relaunched r6/vulkan and hopefully should work. iv yet to restart my pc though so will do that now and see if the fix sticks

Hi thanks a lot Zima, it was just frustrating for me to fix this issue, now it is fixed. For permanent fix disable the inbuilt graphics driver from device manager and run R6 Once in Vulkan mode and quit the game and again enable the inbuilt graphics driver. so the next time when you launch the game via Vulkan it doesn't throw any error.
