Switching Servers

I can't use the "Game settings" folder to change servers anymore. Is this temporary?

A guy said, that... is not allowed anymore to change servers. And others said, you have to wait 4-5 hrs. But, i don't know if this is temporary.

Not gonna copy paste my other post about same topic, but you can bypass this by using a VPN and artificially boost your ping into the threshold of the server you want. My old WEU ping was 100 but I need 200 ping to get into it. 150 ping puts me into NEU, and 4000 (test) ping gave me Australia.

Gotcha, thank you for the info. But i'm still wondering if we can use the GameSettings file to switch servers in the future, since using VPN is really difficult for me :/

Sorry to hear that this is happening. We would need the following information to investigate the issue:

- What is your ISP
- What Data Centre should you be playing on VS where you are playing on
- Trace Routes
- Open the cmd function
- Type Tracert and then add the following xblcxplatqos entry based on the datacenter you should be playing on:

'neu': {LINK REMOVED}'xblcxplatqos-neu-9-18-2-0.cloudapp.net'
'weu': {LINK REMOVED}'xblcxplatqos-weu-9-18-2-0.cloudapp.net'
'eas': {LINK REMOVED}'xblcxplatqos-eas-9-18-2-0.cloudapp.net'

- What is your ISP
- What Data Centre should you be playing on VS where you are playing on
- Trace Routes
- Open the cmd function

Every R6 PC player has this problem now. We cannot change servers anymore. This is a huge problem because many of us are now stuck on a dead server that we never play on in the first place.

Imagine living in UK and suddenly forced onto NEU when WEU provides far faster queue times for matches and the ping is the same. Or getting forced into an Australian server when you live in SEAS.

This problem is really bad. Hoping it gets fixed.

The VPN is not ideal.My ini file is unchanged from Void Edge. I played on WEU and now they put me on a server where I cannot find games.

I have the same problem but on NA-US data center, specifically Westus. It puts me on CentralUS and sometimes SouthCentralUS data centers rather on westus. I am in california.

Fix has been posted to Reddit, and a friend showed me it.

Here is how to change servers for R6 Siege PC on Steel Wave:

Open the GameSettings.ini and scroll down to DataCenterHint. Put 'playfab/' in front of your data center of choice. So for example: DataCenterHint=playfab/eastasia
