Audio bug ( sound direction get reversed )
After this Operation Burnt Horizon update I am facing an audio bug sometimes. The sound direction would get reversed. Like left sounds will come from right ears and right from left ears. At the same time when this bug happens the drone sounds while inside a building will get silent but outside buildings would be fine and in kill cams there would be no gun sounds. I am 100% sure it's not at my end as I have tested the directional sound when this bug happens from the audio settings of windows and also from directional youtube sound test videos, there would be no issues but only happens in game. And it would get fixed instantly once I restart the game. I searched some threads and I saw this bug has been faced by many and some still facing. For me it started after Burnt Horizon update.

Hey Apex,

Thanks for reporting your experience with this to us. Have you experienced this with more than one headset if you've been able to try this?

Can you recall what operators you were playing as and what map you were on when this happened to you?

I haven't been able to try another headset but this problem isn't there in any other games. And regarding the operators and maps, I don't remember the operators I was using but the bug would be there from the very beginning starting from prep phase until I restart the game which fixes the bug. And the maps I remember clearly, they were Hereford base and Yacht.

Thanks for getting back to me with more detail, we appreciate that.

If you do get the chance to try another headset, please could you update the thread with your findings so we can get more info on this as it would be useful?

I'm having a similar issue to you, but audio only comes through one ear of the headset (except ambient sounds and first person sounds). Same as you this issue only happens in Siege. It has happened on multiple maps ( Border, Coastline, Hereford ) and with every single operator I played. A simple restart wouldn't fix it at all, and ive tried a few headsets other than my main Arctis 5. Hope this gets resolved soon

Same thing happened to me on Favela just now. I was on the defender team (Kapkan, though it doesnt seem defender dependant, I had this bug once as an attacker), yet I was spawned under the map as a "drone" with access to all operators, as numbers go, but having the same view. I quit the match and started another one, on which the audio was reversed.

I've also just recently gotten a bug where the sounds from the other side of the map or from inside the building (north side) were playing extremely clearly (as if I was right next to for example shooting) when I was far away from the source of the sounds.
Happened mainly as Twitch and on the Ski Lodge map

I also too have had sound reversal issue as well. With multiple headsets, multiple assortment of operators and maps with a restart of the game being the only fix

We're sorry to hear that's occurring for you.

Did this start after the release of Phantom Sight or was it occurring before this?

The issue with sounds over distance happened only after Phantom Sight, but the issues with reversed and missing sounds happened previously to the release. I haven’t yet experienced the reversal issue since the release

Thanks for clarifying that, hopefully the reversed sound issue is resolved.

Would you be able to provide us with a video example of the issue? This would help us to look into the issue.

If it happens again and I am able to record it - I will.
Thankfully thus far it has been infrequent.

Is there an email address I can send it through to?

im having the same issues
I get so lost I prefer to play without audio because its all glitched. The sounds from the left is in the right, if im getting shot from behind I listen in front of me, its literally a mess and it happened just today and I cant find a way to fix the audio, its honestly unplayable

Having the same problem, in PS4 though. Headphones work fine anywhere else, the problem is in the game, I uninstalled it and its re-installing rn.
Will update if anything changes.

hi, i'm suffering from this issue quiet sometime, i found the solution for this is to retire the 7.1 usb adapter and connet the headphones directly as stereo. this is frustrating as i'd like to use the 7.1 experiance, but it's not just left and right, i also hear footsteps above when they are below... etc

I'm on PC, using Logitech G430 and now same issue on my new Corsair HS60 Pro.

/\ I fixed this problem just by verifying the files and restarted my pc
