Game will not launch

One of my friends just got his computer back from being fixed (but it was just a graphics card replacement, so this shouldn't be the issue) and Rainbow Six will no longer launch. Upon attempting to launch the game he is met with the error message:

RainbowSix.exe - System Error
The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

Followed by

RainbowSix.exe - System Error
The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

These errors are usually in relation to the supporting software that Siege and many other games rely on to run correctly. Please ask your friend to follow this FAQ:

If you are on Windows 10, the best and easiest way is to go to applications and find all of Microsoft visual programs and select them, then you can either make a change or uninstall, click make a change and then you have the option to repair the program, I did this to all visual programs just to be sure and it worked for me.
