Sorry to hear you're having issues with this, I would recommend to clear your Steam download cache {LINK REMOVED}(https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3134-TIAL-4638) and then check the download again to see if this helps.

I'm sorry for misunderstanding your issue.
The thing is, downloading and installation games is a continuous process in Steam. You can pause downloading but if you restart your computer or disconnect from the Internet, you lose achieved download progress and have to start from the beginning.
I am sorry if that algorithm has caused confusion about the installation process.

Look, the update was released yesterday, so is it because of the update? Like the progress reset because it is unable to identify the previous files or something like that?
