Any way to disable joining ongoing games?

I hate getting added to an ongoing game. Usually i get either a toxic team or just a lost game, just now got a game with a cheater on the enemy team.
Rarely I get added to a good game, where the player I'm replacing just had to go or his game crashed. Usually there is a bad reason why a team was missing a player.

So is there any way to opt out of joining ongoing games?
I'm playing casual, just learning the game for now.

Thanks for your query at the moment there's no way to disable joining ongoing matches however we would suggest playing with friends / as part of a team so you will all load in together rather than loading in as an individual.

Also just to let you know you won't be added to ongoing ranked matches.

I didn't expect an answer from a dev.

I didn't try in ranked games, but i though that would be the case. But i'm not playing those until i have memorized every map in the game.

And yeah, usually play with my friends and my brother. But sometimes i have nobody to play with, so i started wondering if this problem can be solved through game settings.

Well, i don't want to know more. But I could give a suggestion for some future patch.

You could add a list of desired maps in the settings, like for terrorist hunt.
And also fix the bug, where a drone doesn't detect bombs sometimes.
I also hope that the game mode where you get to ban will stay in the game.
I think Montagne and Clash ruin the game a bit tho. Clash is just out of place, seems as to fill the "diversity quotas". Shield operators could be great if they were more like Blitz.

But anyways the game is great. I love it.

I see that you are new to the game and don't realy understand it, but we don't need another blitz. Its frustrating as it is. Montagne was here from the start of the game and he can seem week in the hands of a starter, but in good hands montagne is scary. For clash though I have to agree with you because idk what were the devs thinking when putting her in the game but ok.
