Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

[BUG] Teamspeak 3 and Discord lag while in game. [FIXED]
[Fix] My issue was v-sync. Turning off v-sync allows the game to use as much of your cpu as it wants to obtain a high framerate and smoother game. Therefore if you have v-sync off Rainbow Six will suck up all of your cpu usage and leave very little for teamspeak or disord. All you need to do is turn on v-sync and this problem will go away. HOWEVER your game will not be as smooth as it was before, but it shouldn't be that noticeable. If this does not fix the problem then you probably need a new cpu.

Whenever I play rainbow six and I have teamspeak open and am talking to my friends, my friends voices start stuttering really bad. This continues until i lose connection and rejoin, and repeat. I tried discord but the same thing happened, just without the disconnecting issue. This really sucks because I need to communicate with my friends while playing. This did not happen until operation health or a patch near that time.

I have tried reinstalling the game, verifying integrity of game files, optimizing on geforce experience, and reinstalling teamspeak.

I have also seen someone suggest that you get a better CPU, as Rainbow is is "CPU intensive game" and draws processing power from other apps if it needs more. This is not the problem because the problem just started happening around operation health. This problem does not occur in any other game I play.

If you could help me that would be great, and if there is an obvious solution i will feal pretty stupid.

Oh and you can limit your fps by : Find the file in C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege. Click the folder thats like 1f03b436-af55-4283-9a7c-6a319614292f something similar and you should find a GameSetting.ini file inside Then >>>> [DISPLAY]
;FPSLimit => Limit the game's fps. Minimum of 30fps. Anything below will disable the fps limit.
;Console => Enables the in-game console which is mapped to `/~. Will only work if the key is not already mapped.
Brightness=50.000000
FPSLimit=85
Console=0

I'll keep bumping until a soulution is found. Also, the problem only occurs when the game is open, if im alt-tabbed out of the game it works perfectly fine.

I have google fiber. I never have internet/download problems. Internet shouldn't be the issue here, especially when the problem only occurs when im looking at the game. Both speeds are 900+ MBs

Wow. Very helpful. Except for the fact that I want to have a competent team and play the game.

Come on, why do you have to be so hard about it ... it was a joke.

Because I'm getting pissed off that I can't find a solution to this problem which shouldn't exist.

K turns out it was CPU usage. V-sync being off causes high CPU usage, turn it to 1 lowers CPU usage and fixes the problem.

Thanks, I had the same problem. It's working now
