When you launch Rainbow Six Siege you should be given two options.
- The first option will simply be Rainbow Six Siege, and this is using DX11
- The second will be Rainbow Six Siege Vulkan, which uses the Vulkan API
So as long as you choose the first option, you will be using DX11 :)
- Ubisoft Support
Vulkan is still in the testing phase so the results may vary, but we're working to optimise it better!
Regarding DX 11, can you please provide me more details?
- How sudden are the FPS drops?
- How long has this issue been affecting you?
- Which CPU are you using?
I'll help in any way I can!
- Ubisoft Support
issues started when i was testing vulkan on live games
i7-3770 3.9ghz turbo 3.4ghz stock with 4 cores 8 threads temperature not exceeding 80C
You're using the same CPU as me, though mine's the unlocked version, so I know that's a perfectly able CPU.
I believe the best way for us to investigate further is if we can receive a video of the FPS drops. Are you perhaps able to record what happens?
