Controls settings. Controller setting not working

I have a standand xbox one controller connected. When I play the game its using the mouse and keyboard controls settings even though I'm playing with a pad. How do I get the controller settings in the controls setting to be used instead of M&K settings?

If it's not fully detecting the Controller, then there may be an option in the game settings to enable the controller.

I'm sorry for the confusion, I've checked and there isn't a setting for that.

Once detected the controller should be able to be used in-game. You can find the options in "Options" > "Controls" > "Controller Options".

If your controller is not detected, please try closing the game. Then make sure your controller is plugged-in, that your drivers are up-to-date and that your controller is detected in your "Devices and Printers" panel, then relaunch your game.

Just to clarify, my xbox one controller shows up in device manager and has the latest drivers installed. Rainbow Six actually does allow me to use my controller and displays all action commands by the controller inputs (press left of D-pad to use drone, down on D-Pad to ping etc). I have also enabled my controller for RB6 in steam too. Even so, my controller experience is governed by the mouse and keyboard settings and not the controller settings (such as look inversion enable or disable, y and x sensitivity). I would much prefer, if possible, to be able to use the controller settings instead.

Will changing the sensitivity of the Mouse Directly effect the sensitivity on your controller?

Can you try taking the Config file out of the settings and moving it to the desktop? This will reset the game settings, but may help with this setting issue.

By default the Config is found here:

• C:\Users\<user>\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\<UplayID>\GameSettings.ini​​

Hello again.

I did as you instructed by cutting and pasting the mention file to my desktop. I then launch the game and nothing has changed, in fact it still had the settings I had set before the change in place....

Hi again,

I followed every step in the thread you linked in your last message. Unfortunately it hasn't solved my issue with the controls. My controller is still being governed by the keyboard and mouse control settings. I appreciate any other help you can provide as I am at a loss.
