Purchased R6 Credits and want a refund.... Help??

So I bought some R6 Credits yesterday thinking I wanted to get more of the Halloween themed cosmetics. I quickly realized that this was a mistake and since I haven't spent any of the credits, attempted to get a refund. When I got into a live chat with Ubisoft they told me that I would have to get it through Steam. So of course I went to Steam to see if I could request it there - to my dismay I could not. Steam says that they are unable to give refunds for in-store content for Siege and that I would have to contact the publisher (Ubisoft) directly. So I quickly went back to the Ubisoft "customer support" and told them what I had learned. They basically repeated the exact same thing saying that I would have to go through Steam because I apparently bought it through them. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do now because Steam's policies on refunds aren't that long and I was hoping to use that money towards better use(s). Can anyone help me out? Or does anybody at least know what I can do to get my money back?? Because this is kinda absurd..

Well that's unfortunate.... thanks for trying to help tho! I guess I'll just see if I can't find something to buy with them.

So it would have to be Steam support that issue a refund as the payment has gone through their system, it's not possible for our support to access it really. Regardless all sales on PC digital content are final with some exceptions depending on the circumstance.
