How to fix FPS drops!
First off, this was actually not Ubi's fault in the least. Stop making threads about "BLOOD ORCHID RUINED MY FPS!!!!" ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lol. It was actually due to one of Microsoft's updates for Windows, and this has been impacting literally every game since the update. Ubi had no way to stop it.

Ok, so to actually fix it, right click your Rainbow Six Siege .exe file, go to properties, hit "compatibility" and then click on "disable fullscreen optimization" and your FPS will go back to normal.

You and your Windows 10.

I've not had a single issue as I still run 7.

I tried to do that but I dont know if Im doing it right. Just to make sure, can you please tell me where can I find RainbowSixSiege.exe? When I right click, go to properties there is not compatibility for me...

Local Disk (C:), Program files(x86), Steam, Steamapps, Common, and you'll find the folders of all your steam games. scroll down till you find Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, and then the exe should just be called "RainbowSix"

wow what a post.. first of all, this issue exists for people who using the Win10 Build 1703 (and older ones) too. So its a seperated issue with the "Windows 10 Update" which is actually the 1709 Build - just saying. Also the "disable Win 10 Fullscreen optimization" doesnt work for everyone. Even with middle class CPU and GPU. Funny thing was that R6s was working perfect at 13th dec - one day before the 60 tick patch came out. So instead of doing another "i know how to fix this issue" post, you better do some research ;) gg have fun
Ok, it worked for me and plenty of others. I don't see why you have to be an obnoxious ass about it because it doesn't work for a few people.

Including the term ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the first post totally eliminated your credibility on this matter.

Alright, but when I do this I get an unplayable amount of screen flickering. How do I stop that?

Try turning on vsync. If that doesn't work, then I'd say cut your losses and turn fullscreen optimization back on.
