ERROR CODE [3-0x0001000B]
It appears that during the past couple of weeks something happened to Rainbow Six Siege that causes Server connection issues. ERROR CODE [3-0x0001000B] to be specific. I am opening this discussion so that everyone having the same issue knows that you are not alone and the cause for the error is not on your side but on the side of Ubisoft.

I've been getting the error 4 times during the past month. It appears to only occur occasionally. For example, one time I played the game in the afternoon without any trouble but on the same day playing a couple hours later in the evening it was not possible while a friend of mine could play without any trouble the whole day. Even at the time when the error occurs on my PC, it is possible to play the game without any trouble from a different PC being in the same network.

Today I could play without trouble on my PC whereas it was not possible to play on the different PC I just mentioned above in the same network because of ERROR CODE [3-0x0001000B]. That proofs that the cause of the problem is neither on your network nor on your PC. The error seems to be appearing completely random.

I did all the recommended steps that are provided by the Ubisoft support site for this specific error but none of them solved the problem.

My personal guess is that patch Year 4 Season 3.2 broke something in the game that is connected to creating a lobby. Since this patch the problem started occurring on my end. What makes me think the root of the problem lies in creating a lobby? Well on the times the error occurs me and people I talk to only have trouble initially connecting to the servers when starting the game and joining other people’s sessions/ inviting people to their session. Once a match is running the game runs normal as usual without any connection problems. However, after a match has ended and you get sent back into the main menu you’ll get disconnected again.

I send a support ticket already describing my problem. I just wanted to share this so people receiving this issue know that the cause of the problem is not your network nor your PC.

I hope Ubisoft is aware of this issue causing problems for a big part of the playerbase and are working on a fix.

WORKAROUND FOR PLAYING WITH FRIENDS
While it can still be possible to solo queue during the times the error occurs joining a friend’s lobby or them joining you is almost impossible without you disconnecting from the game the moment you are with more people in a lobby than yourself. In order to queue together the person receiving the server error needs to be in a lobby on his own and search for a match ( any kind of match is fine, but casual is recommended ). While searching for a match the person you want to play with has to invite you and you have to accept the invite while you are still searching for a game on your own. In 70% of the cases you’ll be able to join your friend without any trouble

I received this issue since yesterday, and it's my second time already. The first was back in Oct 18 this year. Did all the possible steps, and there are times that I could connect but only 1 match. Whereas my other friends are able to play without a problem. It's really frustrating. And yes I do suspect it's a patch error somewhere. Before the Season 4 it was all good till now.

its weird for me like when i got off from work early and hopped on at 2pm est it worked fine, played a few matches no big deal. now its 6 pm my bud got on and so i hop on and now im getting the same error ERROR CODE [3-0x0001000B]. Same exact thing happened yesterday I was able to play fine in the morning 6 am est but as soon as night time it was 8pm est and ya i couldnt play. my internet provider is wind stream and im on the east coast of the usa. I've also changed servers and used a different dns server no luck. I've also used my hotspot which is T-mobile and had the same issues. My router has my pc on the dmz and for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles i've also opened up the ports for the game as well with no luck. also upnp is enabled.

Also in mygames/rainbowsixsiege/SomeWeirdNumbers&letters/gamesettings.ini if i set autoproxydiscovery from 0 to 1 and go back in I can some times fight around with clicking reconnect in the game and it does work somewhat or I can join my friend. by working somewhat is I can play a match or two no problems but I cant use voice chat and after about the second match ill get the error code again and ill have to play around with clicking the reconnect button.

so when im not having trouble ill leave the autoproxydiscovery setting at 0 game works fine i can talk to people. later when it has issues ill change autoproxydiscovery to 1 and go back in and I can play but im fighting the errors every few matches or if i sit on the menu for almost 5 minutes ill get the error and voice chat doesnt work. Overall I'm just happy I can start playing some what again.

I recently also keep facing this issue, at the same day morning can play then afternoon show this error. I strongly believes is the configuration problems on server side because my computer didnt do any changes on network at the same day.

I'm facing the issue as well, and it started a couple weeks ago. Usually it fixes itself after a few minutes, but as of this post, I can't play at all as it's been like this for the past 10 or 20 minutes. Nothing about my system or network has changed in over a year.

ISP is AT&T and location is Georgia, US.

Siege is the only game/program having any kind of issue.

my location is georgia as well in the US
