Sudden fps drop and high ping
Hi guys! I've been playing Rainbow Six Siege for almost 2 years now and science operation
Para Bellum my game has a one very, very enoying issue. It happens randomly in the round.
My fps drops from 60(I lock it in the game files) to 1, also at the same time my ping goes to even 1000(!). I tried everything, I reinstall the game several times, I wrote to Ubisoft support about this and they did not respond, I reinstall all of my microsoft visual c++ packages and it didn't work too.
So I ask you to help, I believe you can help me or somehow explain why is this happening.

My Pc specs:
Windows 7
Processor Intel i5-6400 2.70 GHz
Graphic card Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 4Gb
16 GB Ram DDR3
Motherboard: GA-H110M-H DDR3
Hard drive: Toshiba 1TB HDD
DirectX 11

All drivers are up to date

A video that shows the problem:

(Don't mind the language in the video, it's Polish ;) )

Hey The Outsider! Sorry to hear that you're having fps and ping issues. Are you playing with wired or wireless connection? If you're playing on wireless, I would suggest testing out wired. I have a few troubleshooting steps to try down below as well:

1. GPU drivers are up to date.

2. Try optimizing the game via GeForce Experience.

3. Disabling full screen optimization on RainbowSix.exe:
You can do this by finding RainbowSix.exe in the games main directory. Right click .exe and click properties & select compatibility tab. Check the box that says ''disable full screen optimizations''

4. Running Steam, the game and the Uplay client with {LINK REMOVED}

5. Temporarily disable other programs that are running in the background except programs associated with the game.

If you're still having issues, please check out the {LINK REMOVED}

Please let me know if any of the steps resolves your issue.

1. All drivers are up to date

2. Didn't work

3. There is no such option. I know that it is on Windows 10 but not on 7

4. Didn't work

5. I disabled evey program except steam and uplay client, still didn't work

Thanks for getting back to us.

Do you have the Case ID for your Support Contact?

You'd want to make sure you've include a DxDiag & MSINFO, which you can do through the steps here[support.ubi.com]

No problem, you can get this by logging into the Support Site here

Once logged in open the menu on the right and select Cases. You should be able to see the Case Number/ID from there.

Since burnt horizon the game optimization has gone to ♥♥♥♥.10 second freezes with fps drops and high ping no other game has this issue but this.
Updated everything even have the processes on the game on high yet it still happens.Instead of making garbage skins and releasing charms maybe work on the optimization

Thanks for providing that, I would only be looking at the system files so that shouldn't be an issue.

We'll take a look at that and get back to you.

Is there any Fix for that Problem yet?

With issues as nebulous as this, it may not always be down to a specific shared issue.

Certainly we would advise making sure you've been through the troubleshooting suggested above.

Hello! We will do our best to help you.

A GTX 1660 is certainly more than capable of playing Rainbow Six Siege. I have some questions for you -

- What CPU are you using?
- Are you running Windows 7 32bit or 64bit?
- How much FPS are you getting, and how much are you expecting?

Thank you!
