connection error when buying renown
i keep on having "error with communicating with steam servers", so i can't buy renown

man i wish there's some kinda upgrade pack from starter to standard....12k grind to a new operator is brutal for a newbie like me

Hey,

You can't buy renown, are you referring to credits? Are you still unable to purchase?
Apologies about the lack of upgrade options, i've seen it reported numerous times and passed it along so hopefully this is something which may be implemented in the future.

whoops my bad i mean credits. i'm relatively new to the game so i keep on getting things mixed up lol. it's been having "error communicationg" since forever, even on stable connection. i bought starter since it's cheap, so since i've decided to stick around, some sorta upgrade pack would be appreciated. i screwed up and bought monty (terrible with him) due to the sale, so for attackers i'm stuck with Ash (terrible with her) or Recruit....and 12k is preety steep...

No worries, I know it can be quite confusing when you first start playing Siege!

We recommend you to try the steps in this FAQ: {LINK REMOVED}

As sometimes the store connection can cause issues even if you can connect to matches fine.

i understood nothing. except the fact that i can't reset the net because i'm currently on a rent. had i been in my parent's house or something, i could (but i still have the same issue even though the connection is stable)

Do you have a phone with a mobile internet connection? If so could you try using that to setup a Wifi hotspot with mobile data and then trying to connect on that and see if the store loads? This isn't a permanent solution, just to see if the store connects from there.

out of curiosity i want to check, especially before i burn through my data quota, what's the diffrence if i connect with a mobile hotspot, compared to WiFi or Lan?

The reason I'd ask you to check is because it might indicate the the issue is with your Ports/current connection. Otherwise it may be a different issue, that is not related to your connection.

i've been trying with about 3 entirely separate connections right now: one with my dad's wifi, one at my rent's, and a LAN at the office. all still give me the same issue, so it shouldn't be the connection i'd reckon

btw why can't i buy year 1 and 2 packs thru steam? only found Y3 pack on the DLC list

Apologies for the delayed response, are you still seeing this connection issue?

In regards to the Passes, these were discontinued when the Year 3 pass was released. You can still buy the Operators in a bundle through the Unlock Operators option on the selection screen.

still having the issue Holz. not having a great weekend trying to unlock a new defender. really wish i could just buy some creds and get a season pack. maybe i should save up for the Y3. i hope Ubisoft offers a method to upgrade from Starter to Standard, especially one that doesn't involve connection errors

preety sure i already linked my steam with Uplay, so why do i need to basically re-confirm it again? wish this process would be smoother

might have found the source of the issue: my Steam's having the connection error. couldn't even redeem my voucher thru the steam client; had to go thru the browser. not sure why. maybe the situation will improve if i somehow manage to connect to a more reliable network
