I tried each and every solution in this thread and on the internet and only this worked for me
The issue this forum has been trying to tackle for years is still present at random for random players. Rainbow Six's in-game voice chat function will spontaneously stop working.
You cannot speak over voice chat, nor does your mic-and-name icon appear to the right of the screen indicating that you're holding your push-to-talk button. You cannot hear any players on the server using voice chat, nor can you see their mic-and-name icon at the right of the screen.
This is not an external problem. This is the in-game voice chat feature randomly failing to function.

I keep my computer consistently updated.

No fix yet, other than restarting the game. Usually.
