Anyways @OP attempt verifying the game files & if necessary uninstall then re install the game.
Can you please tell me how my PC HW specifications would help you when the same problem is happening on 3 other PCs(that I know of)? So should I list them all or do just mine? :D like it doesnt matter if its AMD/Intel CPU or AMD/Nvidia GPU it does on all of them
The game cannot be running perfectly 100+ fps for years and suddenly start crashing because of hardware and if so the problem is within the game optimalization meaning it was not done correctly in the first place
So here are my "specs" as you wished:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
GPU: SAPPHIRE AMD R9 290 4GB Tri-x
RAM: VENGEANCE® RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3466MHz C16 Memory Kit
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X470-PRO
PSU: Fortron FSP RAIDER 650W
Case: Cooler Master Force 500 Black
HDD: Seagate 2TB
HDD: Seagate 3TB(BarraCuda)
HDD: Seagate 4TB(BarraCuda)
SSD: Samsung 850 evo 250GB - OS drive
SSD: WD Green SSD 3D NAND disk 240GB - Rainbow6 is running of this drive
For comparison my friend has an Intel i5 and gtx 1070 so as you can already tell is not just AMD stuff as some may assume :)
Game as it is should be tested on the latest WHQL drivers which I am currently using on my GPU - meaning that if it will be fixed by a driver update = it was not working in the first place
Great idea, I believe that the problem could be solved by buying a new hardware but unfortunately not everyone can afford it or needs to do an PC ugprade if their PC is running the game just fine.
Its up to an developer to provide a working game for all the different specifications that you might get because not everyone is sitting on the high end full "RGB" PC
Also that is the one of the reasons why the game have mininal PC requirements and recommended ones too and if you are above the recommended and the game is still crashing well the problem is somewhere else.
I am glad that the game is working for you. I wish it was like that for everyone.
same reason why a lot of tech support will ask you for your specs even if its as trivial as occasional stuttering
anyways the issues you mentioned sounded like the same issues people have with having a 2 thread processor which is a big reason why i asked for specs

anyways have you tried verifying cache?
restarting your computer?
reinstalling battleye?
reinstalling uplay?
updating windows?
reinstalling game?
updating drivers?
reverting drivers?
if none of those work i would contact ubisoft support, they could have a specific driver version for you to revert to like with that vega artifacting thing
I really appriciate that you are trying to help which is kind of rare to see around here so a big thank you for that sir.
1 - verifying cache did not result in any missing files
2 - I was literally forced to restart my computer after the game froze my whole PC
3 - battleye reinstalls itself everytime you turn on the game as far as I know
4 - No. but I do not really feel like that would be the case
5 - I literally just installed the lastest windows updates this morning
6 - Did try to reinstall once, seemed ok for 20-30 minutes than a crash yet again
7 - For an AMD there is only optional drivers option (with added support for Gears 5 nothing about Rainbow 6) at the moment which are like a beta drivers so no I did not tried those
8 - does not seem like a good option if the game was running on these just fine
My troubleshooting is at the end I will try once they get some patch for the game because I believe that this is something that needs to be fixed on game/driver level not the user/customer level.
