Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

R6 Siege using CPU instead of GPU
I've tried everything I know how to do, to get RainbowSix to use the GPU instead of the CPU. Such as disabling the integrated graphics (which gives me even worse fps), setting everything I can in Nvidia Control Panel to "Geforce GTX 1050 Ti", and going into the .ini file and changing "GPUAdapter" from 0 to 1, even uninstalling and deleting the leftover files, but nothing works.

All help is appreciated,
Andrew

PC SPECS:
A8 7600 Radeon R7 Graphics
8gb DDR3
MSI Geforce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING X
1 monitor plugged into motherboard via AVI, and the other is plugged into the GPU via DVI.

Hey,

Steam user InvisibleXRed posted a solution for this in another thread:

"It is an issue with the switchable graphics. Make sure the game is closed. Going into the Nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings it should already say that the Nvdia card is preffered in the global settings if not change that quickly to your high performance card , and in program settings, Siege should already be using the High performance card (Nvidia GPU). Turns out that wasn't the case.

Disregarding the Global settings, in the program settings you need to relocate the Siege .exe again. So in he 'select program to customize' section, click 'Add', then ignore all the processess it shows you automatically, including if one is for this game, and click 'Browse' down at the bottom.

just dig through your directories a bit working towards the location you have the game data, example (F:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege), and select RainbowSixGame.exe then 'Open'.

You can do the same thing for the other .exe in that folder if you like, we skipped that.

Now back at the 'add', make sure you click on the RainbowSixGame.exe at the very top of the box just in case there are two now (making sure those icond are sorted by recently used), and at the bottom hit 'add selected program'

This taking you back to the program settings, make sure the proper gpu is selected as preferred gpu for the program, and go on and hit apply down at the bottom.

The problem was solved instantly when they restarted it. For some reason we just had to reattribute the games .exe to the control panel again manually and that was it"

Can you let me know if this works?

Thanks for your reply!

In the directories, I see "RainbowSix" and RainbowSix_BE". But no "RainbowSIxGame". This is the path that I took: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Maybe, that solution is a little older, and they took out "RainbowSIxGame" and replaced it with the 2 I have here.

I will try everything else in the solution with the .EXEs that I have here, and let you know if it works.

PS.
I don't have the option to select my prefered GPU in Nvidia control panel. There is only step one (Select a program to customize:) and step 2 (Show only programs found on this computer).

I've read up on this problem and I found out that the ability to select prefered GPUs is only on laptops, not desktops which I have.

I don't think it worked. I've watched other people with the same CPU and GPU as me, and they get 115fps+, and I'm still gettings 35-50. Thank you for your help so far! :D
Sure thanks for keeping me updated, the solution was a little older which would make sense. Everything i'd recommend to do you listed in your original post so i'd recommend to create a support ticket at {リンクが削除されました} so our technical team can assist you further.

When you create your case, please attach a copy of your Dxdiag and Msinfo to speed up the process of how quickly we can help you. All the information you need to create these is available in this FAQ: {リンクが削除されました}

Hopefully then we can give some more advice.
